Enugu State Qualifier, 2018 Season

The Enugu State Qualifier of the Nigeria Spelling Bee was conducted today the 7th of March with spellers from across Enugu State in attendance as they all gathered to show their spelling prowess in order to progress to the next stage of the competition.

At the end of the competition lasting up to three rounds, these spellers qualified to represent Enugu State at the regional level:

  • Ejike Treasure (1742) of Deeper Life High school, Amaokpo-Nike
  • Onyia Favour Mmesoma (1841) of His Grace High school, Enugu
  • Eze Chiagoziem Johnson (1842) of His Grace High School, Enugu
  • Nwosu Uzoma Jayson (1919) of Justine Thomas Primary School, Enugu
  • Nnabuenyi Neta (1922) of University of Nigeria Secondary School, Enugu Campus
  • Anike Mmesoma Blossom (1985) of Temitope Nursery and Primary school, Garriki
  • Uwalaka Chiemena Messica (2207) of His Grace High School, Enugu
  • Okoro Ifeoma Somadina (2213) of Queen’s Model Secondary School Awkunanaw
  • Okolo Chetachukwu Martin (2416) of Spring of Life International Schools, Enugu
  • Agoha Chidiebere (2437) Spring of Life International Schools, Enugu
  • Agoha Blossom L. (2440) of Spring of Life International School, Enugu
  • Ogbodo Chimdindu Treasure (2444) of Hidden Treasure High School, Okwojo
  • Otta Victory Chiagoziem (2451) of Hidden Treasure High School, Okwojo
  • EffiongOkonimmaculate (2452) of Hidden Treasure High School, Okwojo

These spellers will represent Enugu State at the South-East Regional qualifiers of Nigeria Spelling Bee alongside other qualifiers from states such as Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo states for a chance to be among the National Finalists from the region who have an opportunity to win the Grand Prize of N1,000,000 scholarship as well as represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee in Kenya this year.

We wish to appreciate the staff and management of Magnet International High School, Enugu for hosting the Enugu State Qualifiers this season.

Our gratitude and commendation also go to the coaches, parents and teachers who made out time to train such wonderful spellers and to attend the competition.
