The Nigeria Spelling Bee is a product of Bee Spelling Competition Initiative, a registered Non-Governmental Organization operating in Nigeria.
As a premier national competition, the NSB celebrates and nurtures the linguistic talents of young Nigerians.
The NSB is endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Education and is in collaboration with the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC), our goal is to foster intellectual excellence.
Our champions not only win prestigious scholarships but also represent Nigeria on international stages like the African Spelling Bee.
Our vision is to contribute to the education of the entire youths of Nigeria.
We are improving Reading & Spelling Performance of Nigerian students while maintaining our language!
At the Nigeria Spelling Bee, we recognize the frequent challenges that both students and writers face in mastering the correct usage of English and Nigeria’s three major languages. Our mission is to address these common errors and foster a deeper appreciation for linguistic accuracy.
To achieve this, we organize engaging spelling competitions across Nigeria’s schools. These events aim to sharpen students’ spelling skills and enhance their overall literary competence, helping them develop a strong command of language.
State-level winners earn the prestigious opportunity to advance to the National Finals, where they will compete for the coveted ₦1,000,000 scholarship Grand Prize, along with other valuable rewards.
Furthermore, National Finalists stand a chance to represent Nigeria on the international stage at the African Spelling Bee, showcasing their talents on a continental platform.
