The “Centre of Excellence” -Lagos State- has produced its Best State Spellers at the Nigeria Spelling Bee Lagos State Level contest.
The competition was conducted on the 11th of June 2022 at Wellspring College Lagos, which played host to the statewide contest.
At the conclusion of the day’s contest, Isah Batool Onozasi of New Hall International School Lekki emerged as the Best Junior Speller while Akpunwoke David Enyinnia of King’s College Lagos clinched the Best Senior Speller slot.
These spellers will progress to represent the state at the National Finals of the Nigeria Spelling Bee slated for the 3rd-7th of August 2022 at Divine Rays British Schools Obosi-Onitsha, where they stand a chance to win up to N1,000,000 / N500,000 scholarships for Senior and Junior categories respectively.
National Finalists also have an opportunity to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee continental competition in Malawi.

Registration is currently ongoing for the 2023 Season which will start later this year.
