North-Central Regionals-2021 Season

It was a tug-of-words as the best spellers across the North-Central region of the country converged at the Land of Victory – Nasarawa State for the Regional Qualifiers of the Nigeria Spelling Bee, hosted by Deeper Life High School Lafia Campus.

The contest saw spellers from The FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kwara, Niger, Benue and Kogi states at their best slogging it out to emerge National Finalists.

In addition to the One Million Naira and Five Hundred Thousand Naira scholarship for the National Senior and Junior Champions, National Finalists also stand to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee and also win other exciting prizes.

At the end of both written and oral contests, the below-listed spellers emerged as the best spellers in the North-Central geopolitical zone.

  • Dan-Emmanuel Adediji of Deeper Life High School Ilorin
  • Divine C. Agbo of Intimacy With Christ International Schools
  • Divine Nwafor of Princess Adeja International College Gboko
  • Emmanuella Emmanuel of Deeper Life High School Lafia
  • Nathan Umar of Cherryfield College Jikwoyi
  • Ugonna Nwaeleme of Goshen Montessori Schools

SENIORS

  • Bentinen Yiltok of St Augustine’s  College, Plateau State
  • Christiana Ekpe of Government Secondary School
  • Emmanuel O. Ojochenemi of Intimacy With Christ International Schools
  • Iseoluwa Adeyemo of Deeper Life High School Ilorin
  • Kate E David of Intimacy With Christ International Schools

These spellers will compete alongside other top spellers from the South-West, South-East, South-South, North East and North-West regions of the country at the National Finals.

The organizers express deep appreciation to Deeper Life High School Lafia for hosting the Regional Qualifiers.

We also wish to say a big thank you to all who contributed to make the event a memorable one for all, especially our hard-working coaches who painstakingly trained their spellers.
