North Central Regional Qualifiers, 2019 Season

Spellers from the six North-Central states and the Federal Capital Territory converged today in Abuja to slog it out for a chance to pick a National Finalist slot to represent the region at the National Finals of Nigeria Spelling Bee.
After multiple rounds of contests, including a written 1st round, the below-listed students emerged as the best in the region.

• Ameh O. O. Peter of Stella Maris College, Abuja
• Bernice A. Stevens of Hosanna International College, Jos, Plateau State
• Davis O. Godswill of Nigerian Tulip International Colleges, Abuja
• Isaac I. Chibuike of Nigerian Tulip International College, Co-Ed Section, Abuja
• Nelson D. Oluwashayo of Starville School, Abuja
• Obiora C. Chiderah of St. Joseph Centenary Catholic College, Ilorin, Kwara State
• Ofomaja M. Osolobrugwemedi of Deeper Life High School, Abuja
• Sadiq R. Olanrewaju of Chaste Intellect International School, Ilorin, Kwara State
• Stephanie O. Oboh of Shepherd International College, Akwanga, Nasarawa State

These Spellers will meet their counterparts from other regions at the National Finals scheduled to take place in Ritman University Ikot-Ekpene, Akwa-Ibom State from the 24th to 27th July 2019 for activities leading to the Grand Finale, where Spellers are expected to spell their way to scholarships of up to N1,000,000, cash prizes and an all-expenses-paid trip to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee Championship.
