Rules

Before proceeding with your registration, please ensure that you (or your students) meet all the eligibility requirements for the Nigeria Spelling Bee. It is important to confirm that you qualify to participate based on your school level, age, and other criteria.

Registration Fee

Payment Options

To complete your registration, payment must have been made before you submit the form. Choose from the following payment options:

  1. Bank Cash Deposit

    Deposit ₦3,000 per speller at any Fidelity Bank or FirstBank branch using the following details:

    • Account Name: Bee Spelling Competition Initiative
    • Fidelity Bank Account: 5600494791
    • FirstBank Account: 2022981198

    NOTE: Keep your deposit slip safe, as you will need it for the online registration form and to present on the competition day.

  2. Mobile/Web/ATM Transfer

    Transfer ₦3,000 per speller to one of the accounts listed below via your bank’s mobile app, web platform, or ATM:

    • Account Name: Bee Spelling Competition Initiative
    • Fidelity Bank Account: 5600494791
    • FirstBank Account: 2022981198

    NOTE: Save/Print your transaction alerts as proof of payment.

  3. Gift Voucher

    Occasionally, vouchers may be available from Nigeria Spelling Bee or its partners. These can be used to register spellers on the portal instead of making a cash payment.

  4. Late/Venue Registration

    If allowed, late or venue registration will incur a penalty of ₦1,000, bringing the total fee to ₦4,000 per speller.

Important Notice: Ensure your payment details are secure. Nigeria Spelling Bee is not responsible for any issues arising from sharing or exposing your payment information.

Registration Portals

  • Once you’ve completed your payment, follow these steps to register:

    1. Register Each Speller Individually: Click the button below to start the registration process on our e-portal. Each speller must be registered separately.

    2. Receive Your Unique Speller-ID: After registering, each speller will receive a Unique Speller-ID. This ID will be used to identify them during the competition.

    3. Bring Required Documents: Ensure you bring the Confirmation Slip and proof of payment to the competition venue.

    4. Register Now: Click the button to register either a Junior or Senior speller.
